Guest Submissions
Hello! I am accepting guest submissions here at Gaal Creative. This concept is sometimes called “guest blogging” or “guest posting” by others.
Blogs allow us to share ideas and art
One of the things that I like most about blogging is getting to share ideas and artwork. And to see what everyone else is creating, too. I like the conversations. The sharing of the artist’s journey. Talking about what works and what doesn’t. I get so inspired by others … by seeing their studios, or reading their tutorials, or seeing their beautiful creations. And I know I’m not alone!
Wouldn’t it be fun to share them in one place?
So, I thought it would be fun to open up my blog, to allow others to submit guest blog posts for possible publication. A post could be something as simple as sharing a piece of artwork that you’ve created. Or, it could be a tutorial or advice. Or even something about being an artist and the process of creating art.
I truly believe in cooperation more than competition. I think that together, we are stronger, and we can help each other grow as artists. I’m very excited about opening up my blog to guest submissions and meeting lots of new blogging artist friends!
What’s in it for me? Why guest post?
Guest posting can be a lot of fun! It is nice to be recognized and have your work published by someone else. You get a byline. And you can have a short bio, too, at the end of the guest post, to tell my readers a bit more about yourself and about your art.
One of the nicest benefits is that I can link from your byline and bio to your blog or website – so that people who read your guest post can pop over and check out your site. It may drive traffic to your blog or site. And the links from my blog to yours may help improve your ranking in search engines. It’s also nice if you point your blog readers to your guest post on the day it is published, so they can see you here, too!
What I’m looking for
Basically, I’m looking for an image of your art and a short blog post to go with it, about 2 to 4 paragraphs long. Tell me something interesting about your art. Share a story about how you got inspired to make it. Or something you learned while you made it. Maybe a new technique you used or a new product you tried. Or a short tutorial related to the art.
Perhaps you did something by accident and it turned out to be a happy result. Or maybe it didn’t turn out like you hoped, so you did something to “fix” it, and like how it looks now.
Just pick one thing (not all of these!), focus on that, and share about it!
What I’m NOT looking for
I’m not looking for a formal article like in a magazine. You shouldn’t feel like you’re writing an English term paper or like you need to consult a lot of references. No need to cover every angle – focus instead on one part, one thing. I’m just looking for other artists to share their work and something interesting about it. From the heart. As if you’re talking to a friend. Or writing a blog post for your own blog.
I am also NOT looking for posts from people who are trying to advertise a site that isn’t related to art or art making or creativity. I am mainly interested in posts that would link to your personal blog.
Where to submit
Click on the following link to submit your guest post. Short guidelines are at the bottom of the page. It’s basically like putting together a blog post for your own blog.

What if I’m not an artist?
If you’re not an artist, but you think you have something to share that my readers might enjoy, feel free to submit a guest post using the same Guest Blog Post Submission Form. You may want to consult my Target Audience description first, and poke around this site, just to be sure it seems like a good fit.
I’d love blog posts on topics like: improving your blog writing, guest posting, setting up a studio or working art space, giving yourself permission to be an artist, visualizing what you want to create, copyrights and what that means to artists, the process of art-making, creativity, dealing with your inner artist and inner critic, and other guest posts along these lines.
Please remember, though, that I am looking for posts from people who are linking to their personal blogs, and not to some other type of site, especially commercial ones.
Please consider a guest submission so I can publish you!
I am truly looking forward to sharing multiple guest bloggers with you, so we can share our artwork and artist journeys together. I hope that you will consider submitting something soon! I’d love to publish you!

What happens after I submit?
After you submit something, you will receive a confirmation e-mail, to let you know that I received your submission. Then I will need a bit of time to review your submission. If I select your submission for publication, I will schedule it to appear on a certain date (subject to change!), and then I will e-mail you to let you know!
On the day that it is published, you can come to Gaal Creative to see your post! If you click on the title of the post, it will take you to the specific page for that post, with the best URL to use for links. This will also show you the comments your guest post has received. (You may have to refresh from time to time to see the newest comments.)
On the day that it is published, you can link to the post from your own blog (without repeating the text or photos) and let people know to check it out. Or, you can use the buttons at the end of the post to share it on Facebook or Twitter. That’s it!
