Thank You Cards from Custom Patterned Paper

Hello! Can you believe it’s already 2013??!?

Today I’d like to show you how you can use Distress Stains and Artistcellar Stencils to make quick, custom patterned papers for your cards, scrapbooks, and other paper crafts. I don’t know about you, but after the holiday season, I have a lot of thank yous to send – so I thought I’d share some thank you cards!

I made the cards shown above with Distress Stains and stencils available from Artistcellar: Ocean Waves and Mini Chevron. I used Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Weathered Wood Distress Stains on Mixed Media paper from a Strathmore Visual Journal. The following video shows you how I made the patterned papers using Distress Stains and the stencils.

Here’s a photo of the papers and tags that I made using Distress Stains in the video.

And here are some bonus friendship cards I made using the tags and stamps from Hero Arts.

Hope you enjoyed the video! Come back on Monday and I will share similar cards made using warm tones of Distress Stain. And thanks for stopping by!

SWOON! I LOVE the tags and cards you made (or the cards out of the tags!) You know, I’ve never even considered using the distress stains with stencils because I thought they would leak all over, under the stencil and make a big mess. But man, yours turned out great! Now I MUST try!
