Artist Color Wheel

Artist Color Wheel Card

Hi there! Today I’d like to share an asymmetrical card – something that I don’t do very often.

The background is patterned paper from a Basic Grey Kioshi 6×6 paper pad (KIO-2344 Yuriko). It reminds me of color wheels, which is why I picked it for this card.

To make the focal image, I stamped Inkadinkado 97460-An Affair of the Heart (tattoo heart with banner) using ColorBox Blue Lagoon chalk ink, from their Primary Elements chalk queue. Next I stamped letters from Hero Arts® CL183-Sparkle Clear™ Cute Letters to spell “artist” using ColorBox Lavender chalk ink from the same queue.

I colored in the sword in the design using a Sakura Stardust clear glitter gel pen for sparkle and shine. I cut and dry embossed the focal image with Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eleven and made a cut and dry embossed matte using Labels Eighteen. I love this mix of Nesties!

I tied metallic purple cord around the black matte and then adhered the focal piece to it. I mounted the matte to the card base using foam squares for dimension. The crystal jewels are iridescent rhinestone stickers from Recollections.

Thanks for stopping by!
