Speckled Friendship Thank You Card
Hello! So far this week, I’ve shown you two quick, easy, clean-and-simple thank you cards. Today, I’d like to share a slightly more complex thank you. It uses the same damask element as in Wednesday’s card, but with added layers. Every once in a while, you want a truly special, ornate thank you, for someone who has gone over the top and deserves some special recognition.
The background for this card is made from green cardstock. I stamped Hero Arts CG125 Friends Definition using Pine Needles Distress Ink. Once the ink was dry, I overstamped the damask ornament from Hero Arts CL401 Speckled Ornaments using Tsukineko Brilliance lavender pearlescent ink for shine.
The butterfly is made from white cardstock. I stamped a butterfly from Hero Arts CL383 Antique Engravings using Ranger Archival Ink in black, which is waterproof. Then I used a Tsukineko sponge dauber to apply Broken China Distress Ink to shade the butterfly. I added three blue gemstones to create the body. And the wings are accented with a Sakura Stardust clear glitter gel pen.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts CL142 Thank You Messages. It is stamped using VersaMark watermark ink and then heat embossed using Ranger seafoam white embossing powder and my Heat It craft tool (heat gun).
The sentiment was die cut using a die from Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio. A matching ribbon was added and wrapped around the edges of the green panel. I adhered the green panel to an ivory card base. Then I attached the butterfly so that its wings are raised with foam squares for dimension.
Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful, beautiful! Your layered background piece with the text and damask is gorgeous, and your butterfly is extra special too! Anyone would know how special they are to receive this beauty! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Anne… I have to say this one is stunning. I love the colours and how you used the Sakura pen to add such sparkle. Beautiful card
