Hi there! Today I’m announcing my challenge for February!
February’s Theme is Get Published!
This month I want to encourage you to submit something somewhere for publication. You could send in a guest submission here at Gaal Creative. Or you could submit your artwork to some other place for publication. It doesn’t matter to me where you submit for publication … just that you do!
February’s challenge rules:
- Submit something somewhere for publication. Either send in a guest submission here at Gaal Creative, or submit your artwork some place else for publication. Submissions here at Gaal Creative will get two chances each in the draw, versus one chance each for submissions elsewhere. (You can combine my challenge with other challenges if you’d like.)
- Leave me a comment below, stating what (guest post, artwork, etc.) and where (here, specific magazine, etc.) you submitted. Please list only one submission per comment. (Examples: “I submitted a guest post here.” or “I submitted a hand stamped card to The Stamper’s Sampler.”)
- Enter as many times as you’d like!
- The challenge runs through the end of the month: Monday, February 28th, at 12:00 midnight EST.
- If you submit someplace else, please follow-up and let me know if you are published! That would be awesome!
- A randomly selected winner will be announced in March. The winner will receive the A-Aspire artist trading card (ATC) shown above, and made by me.

I have my first envelope of cards to be sent to Stampers Sampler. I will put together a card or two for you.

Hi Anne! I just stumbled across your blog through Twitter #OWOH. This has been one of my goals for this year, too. I submitted a “wee planet” art photo I created to the Cloth Paper Scissors magazine 2012 calendar contest, “On the Street Where You Live.” I’m excited to say that my artwork is a finalist! I’ll find out the results on Friday — wish me luck!

I’m doing a Happy Dance right now! I just heard that my artwork will be published in the Sept/Oct issue of Cloth Paper Scissors! Yippee! =)
