Hi there! Today I’d like to give you a peek inside my studio space!
I am lucky enough to have a whole corner of a spare bedroom dedicated to my crafty space. In the former closet, I have a set of drawers from Best Scrapbook Shelf. In the corner, I have a tower made from grid squares which holds most of my 12″x12″ paper in plastic cases by Iris, and then I have an 8 foot craft table with storage shelves above that.
My craft table usually holds a simple but sturdy wooden cassette tape organizer, that I got at a thrift store, which holds lots of my frequently used inks. And a Making Memories carousel. My ATG gun is usually on the table and a roll of paper towels, too. So my working area is just a portion of the total table space – a little larger than the large sized non-stick craft sheet.
On top of my craft table
Most of my supplies are organized in the drawer system. The drawers come in 1″, 2″, and 3″ heights which is perfect for most craft supplies. Wood stamps fit nicely into 1″ drawers. All my supplies like glue dots, punches, ink pads, Distress Ink blending tools and foam, and alcohol inks are in these drawers. It makes it really easy to pull out what you want for a project and then put it back away. I can’t say enough good things about this system! I adore it!
Closet full of drawer storage
My hubby, who is also an artistic type, has a matching table and shelves. He is a potter and does watercolors and has ham radio equipment on his desk. Sometimes I can have a crafty buddy over and she can use his desk, if he is nice enough to clear it off.
The other side of the room has bookshelves, a nice chair to sit and read in, and room for our two kitties to hang out with us when we are in there. It is my favorite room in the house! Except for when it doubles as a guest room, with an Aerobed in there taking up most of the floor space. Then I miss it! :-)

Hope you enjoyed this peek inside my craft space!
And thanks for stopping by!

You have a very nicely organized space Anne! I have a whole room and large closet and I really make a mess. I feel very fortunate though to have the room I do. I just wish I could keep my desk like yours :) I do have a sofa in mine for guests and have to move a table out of the way to make room for an aero bed too. We don’t have too many guests so my room isn’t off limits for very long…thank goodness!
Anne – thanks for coming to play in this crusade. Love seeing that you hung your art in your studio! Great pieces. Bravo! What an organized space! Wanna come work in my studio??!!
